about me
Dear reader.
Whether you're a fan, a curious onlooker, or simply a casual visitor who's stumbled across this page, thank you for checking out my bio. It means you enjoyed what you saw and want to learn more, so I'm happy to share my story with you. Please keep reading.
You already know my name; just a glance at the page's headings and photos makes it easy to guess. However, let me tell you more about myself. For as long as I can remember, I've known I wanted to dance. As a child, instead of going out to the park to play with other children, I preferred to stay home, in the pantry where there were glass windows and I could see my reflection. So, afternoon after afternoon, I learned and built a dancer in my heart, but above all, I enjoyed every moment.
“For me, there is no moment when I started dancing, because there is no moment in my life when I haven’t danced.”
As for my training, I started ballet at age 5 and continued until I was 13. Then, I studied belly dance, urban styles, and contemporary dance for two years while I was in university. I loved "dancing" all kinds of disciplines, and I would rehearse in my pantry. But in 2014 I discovered the salsa And I fell in love. I knew in that instant that this was the dance I was born to do.
For about a year, I danced salsa in Madrid while studying Business Administration. I decided to study salsa professionally in 2016, and that year I was in New York. Then I continued in London, Spain, Italy, Colombia and at numerous conferences around Europe and America to this day.
During these years, I have had the opportunity to train with great teachers such as Eddie Torres, Yamulee, Marco Ferrigno, Karel Flores, Franklin Diaz, Falco Benalcazar, Adolfo Indacochea, Tania Cannarsa, Delia Madera, Fernando Sosa, Full Project, Jessica Quiles, among others. The truth is, I can't even believe I've had so many opportunities to learn, but I feel truly fortunate for it.
Currently, I make a living teaching and dancingall over the world. I specialize in Salsa on2 and Cali style, and one of my dreams is to merge them to create a new style that incorporates both.
The story will continue… that's for sure.
